Creating a Music App in One week Sprint

Managing cross-functional teams and creating a one-week sprint to host the music app on the play store by the weekend

The unsaid rule of product management is running scrum ceremonies. A lot of effort was engineered into assembling the team. we were expected to work with cross-functional teams like developers, Ui/Ux designers etc to create the app

We started by discussing the task and brainstorming on how to execute the task. Part of the actionable plans was to give the product a name, make research to review user experiences of already existing music apps in the play store and come up with other unique functionality that will distinguish this product

By the next meeting, we took feedback from the team based on previous conversations. Medley Music is taking shape. we decided to work on the following issues and Epics as features for the Product

1) Sign-ups/Login

2) Play Music

3) Playlist/Library

4) History

5) Notification

6) Download

7) Customization

8) Sharing

Using Jira software, we inputted these features as Epics. We crafted User stories for the Epics so the sprints could be started and completed on time.

Each user story was written from the user's perspective especially using the research and user feedback from already existing music apps as a case study. This guided the team in writing the User stories and crafting befitting descriptions for the epics and issues for the development of the product

DESIGNS FOR THE APP

After due research and comparison of data, we agreed that minimalistic designs are the best options for Medley App. Music doesn't have to be complex if not it will not impress and give that seamless pleasure that music lovers get from music

Simple design and easy-to-understand illustrations will tell the required stories
